Every month sees the Moon opposing the Sun in the zodiac. We call it a full Moon. The Moon is close to Earth and moves through the zodiac quite quickly. Some planets, however, are way out there and when they oppose each other, it takes quite a while for them to move on. For the past two years there has been an opposition between Saturn and the planet Uranus.
Saturn is the ruler of limitations. It is the last visible planet, but it is still quite far away. Saturn takes approximately 28 years to move around the zodiac, something the Moon often does in 28 days. Meanwhile, the planet Uranus is way out there. It takes 84 years to go around the zodiac one time. This planet rules sudden shocks and surprises. When these two are tense in the zodiac, limitations are challenged outright, but just as easily, other strictures on your behavior could be imposed without you even realizing that they are there until they are almost permanent.
The last time these two planets opposed each other was in the mid 1960s. The impact of this opposition runs deep, and so it is important to look at the zodiac signs these two are occupying in order to understand what type of changes are going on.
