Energy Vortexes: What Are They & Where to Locate Them

Energy Vortexes

Energy vortices are concentrated places of power that exist all over the world, scattered along the Earth’s surface as a concentrated place of power revered by many spiritualists. Often located in sacred sites, energy vortexes offer a wave of positive energy to all who enter their sphere.

What is an Energy Vortex?

If you follow esoteric belief systems, you may have already heard about energy vortexes. There are various power spots in the world where an increased amount of energy is entering the earth or emanating from it.

The energy is believed to have a positive effect on the people or animals who come in close proximity to it. People standing in them report feeling intense vibrations and improvement in physical and mental health.

What do energy vortexes feel like?

A tingling sensation throughout your body, a moment of clarity, or a gentle shift in consciousness are all experiences you may feel in a vortex. You may also find yourself creatively inspired, giddy, or extremely relaxed.

Energy Vortex Locations

Energy vortexes are scattered across the world and hold special amounts of energy in a swirling energetic field around the space that moves up or down in a cone-like pattern. If you’re looking to strengthen your connection with yourself and the universe, visiting an energy vortex (the earth’s chakras) can help you realign.

Sedona, Arizona

Sedona is considered a vortex for its ley line convergences. The natural red rocks and striking canyons attract an abundance of visitors every year who hike, bike, camp, and embrace other outdoor activities on the land. But that’s not all you can do here.

There are four specific locations in Sedona that are said to make up the Sedona vortexes – Airport Mesa, Bell Rock, Boynton Canyon, and Cathedral Rock. These four spots are said to respectively produce unique energy flowing upward to the sky, and downward, entering the earth. You can expect to find people meditating, practicing yoga, and conducting other spiritual practices in these locations, soaking in the powerful energy and healing benefits the sites offer.

Stonehenge, England

Dating back nearly 5,000 years, Stonehenge is an ancient sacred site that is said to be another powerful energy vortex. To this day, it is still unclear the purpose of the sacred stones arranged in a circle in a field in England, but a common belief is that the site marks a burial site or ceremonial ground for civilizations past.

The extraordinary thing about Stonehenge is that is understood by many as the meeting place of 14 ley lines making it a powerful vortex. What’s especially interesting about Stonehenge is that these 14 lines intersect with other ancient spiritual sites like churches around England suggesting that the specific locations of the sacred sites were no accident but hold spiritual significance.

The Great Pyramids of Giza, Egypt

One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is the Great Pyramid of Giza located just outside of El Giza, Egypt. It makes sense that the Great Pyramid of Egypt, the largest of the three pyramids, would be revered as a large energy vortex since Egypt was one of the greatest powers in the Ancient World. Resurrected sometime between 2550 and 2490 BCE, each limestone pyramid was built by a different pharaoh to become his own tomb.

If there was any speculation about their power, physicists have conducted studies confirming the presence of concentrated electromagnetic energy inside its chambers. To this day, it is unknown whether the builders of these extraordinary pyramids knew they rested on power energy centers or not. Perhaps it is a coincidence that they choose to build on this ground or perhaps they built on this ground because they could feel the energy there…

Machu Picchu, Peru

Machu Picchu is a sacred citadel of the Incas located atop a mountain overlooking the Sacred Valley. The energy in this part of the world is so potent that it can be experienced in places like Cusco and more strongly at Machu Picchu, a popular tourist destination for millions each year. Get close to Pachamama and feel your chakras realign when you walk through this special energy field.

Himalayas, Asia

Mountains have always been revered by Buddhists and Hindus as sacred places of worship. The Himalayas, the tallest mountain range in the world, stretches across five Asian countries (India, China, Bhutan, Nepal, and Pakistan). They are considered to possess a powerful energetic field felt by many who sojourn across the space. In particular, Mount Kailash (or Kailas), located in Tibet, is regarded by many spiritualists as the seventh (crown) chakra of the world.
