Spring is a time for new beginnings in the Northern hemisphere. It is a time for birth and renewal in the natural world. The Vernal Equinox resets our lives and our energy so that we can easily clear out the old and begin the new. Springtime is when flowers rise above the earth and bloom, animals are born, birds hatch. Take a clue from Nature and do the same! Let us make our lives a celebration of Spring by imitating that growth and renewal. The Vernal Equinox is March 20th this year. This change will affect us all; some subtly, others more powerfully, but it still produces wonderful results. The energy of the Universe is a strong ally.

Spring is one helper, and the New Moon on March 17 is another to aid our endeavors. The New Moon is a perfect time for new beginnings, and with the Vernal Equinox only three days later, there is much assistance from the Universe. We should all take advantage. This is the perfect time not only to try something new, but to set long range goals and use the double power of the Universe to move forward. It’s okay if you don’t have a major change or beginning, but if you do, now is the time to get started.
March 17 to March 21 is a powerful time to bring in the new and clean out the old. Remove from your life that which is not serving you or is slowing you down. Spring cleaning isn’t just for your home, but for you! Cleanse yourself, your energy, then ground yourself before taking on any of the “new”. This helps clear away obstructions so things flow more smoothly.
Start by going outside (barefoot if possible) and stand on Mother Earth. Close your eyes and let your arms hang down, fingers to the ground. Imagine all that static energy, doubt and negativity draining out of your hands back into the earth to be transformed. When you feel relaxed and grounded, imagine bright white light around you, and thank the Universe for the love and protection provided by that light. Take a deep breath, open your eyes and get ready for your new beginning.
Write down your goal and a realistic date to achieve it by. This is a wonderful time for a new business, a new way of eating or exercising, a new hobby or study, a new relationship, or a new stage in things that are already established. Explore new places, learn a new metaphysical undertaking, set new career goals, or start a new class. Take advantage of this time and like the flowers of spring, rise, grow and bloom!
